Nicole Zeitzer Johnson

Nicole Zeitzer Johnson is a disability inclusion and awareness advocate, the Founder and CEO of Live Joyfully Education, and the author of Joyfully Josie, the illustrated children's book that serves as the anchor text for this course.

She is the co-founder of the FOXG1 Research Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of every child in the world with FOXG1 syndrome and related disorders, and the parent of a child with FOXG1 syndrome.

Nicole presents alongside the lead educator, bringing the lessons of real-world experience to the classroom practices this course teaches — how disability awareness is introduced, how person-centered language is modeled, and what genuine belonging looks like from a family's perspective. She was a keynote speaker at the "Inclusion Done Right" conference at Stony Brook University and the 2026 commencement speaker for the Stony Brook University School of Public Health.

She appears in the course video segments providing the family and advocacy perspective that grounds the instructional content. She does not serve as instructor of record.
